"As a citizen, a parent, a grandparent, a former school board member, a former state representative with eight years on the house education committee, a businessman and the current state senator, I feel that I have the necessary qualifications and experience to serve as a substitute teacher, says State Senator A.G. Crowe.
Crowe is not new to the classroom. He has logged a record number of hours over the last 12 years in classrooms all over the greater New Orleans area. In just one week last year, he spoke to 14 different classes in 3 parishes from grades one through twelve.
Crowe says that substitute teaching will help him obtain a better understanding of many educational issues that will enable him to serve more effectively as a state senator.
