  • Work to reduce the size of Louisiana Government
  • Continue to vote against taxes and fees
  • Continue to fight corruption and government waste
  • Introduce Caylee's Law to make it easier to locate a missing child
  • Continue to support the TOPS program
  • Continue to fight for teacher pay raises
  • Work to re-open the Slidell Vo-Tech in Slidell in the Fall 2012
  • Continue to support the opening of the UNO Technology Park in Slidell
  • Contrinue to fight for more funding for Nunez Community College in Chalmette
  • Support the building of the new St. Bernard hospital
  • Continue to support the senior citizens facilities in Slidell, S. Bernard and Plaquemines Parishes
  • Work to eliminate 10% of the state's 16,000 consulting contracts to save $750 million
  • Continue supporting ethics laws to enhance the positive perception of Louisiana
  • Continue to fight crime and criminals by supporting tough anti-crime legislation
  • Authored Act 699 that set the stage for hundreds of new Louisiana jobs and billions in private investments with the new Louisiana International Gulf Transfer Terminal (www.ligtt.com)
  • Authored and supported numerous laws to protect our children from predators
  • Personally assisted hundreds of constituents in St. Tammany, St. Bernard, Plaquemines and Orleans to cut through the red tape and speed up their Road Home settlements after Hurricane Katrina
  • Continue to fight for State and Federal funding for flood control projects, levee restoration and recovery efforts
  • Push for Eden Isles/Oak Harbor/Palm Lake/North Shore Liberty lakeside levee protection system
  • Work to open up the state insurance market to guarantee available and affordable insurance for our homes and businesses
  • Continue to promote legislation that strengthens famly values
  • Continue supporting the Educational Accountability Program
  • Work with the Congressional delegation to ensure available and affordable Health Care for all Louisiana citizens
  • Work to stop the out-migration of our graduates from Louisiana and promote economic develoment initiiatives to create jobs
  • Work to preserve and reclaim our wetlands
